I wrote about Anwar’s anti-corruption policy before. But after I saw the pictures below which are worth a thousand words, I am encouraged to write this article to share some useful information.
Just about four months in power, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has made whirlwind tours to eight countries, namely – Indonesia, Brunei, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Cambodia and China.
Anwar’s main aim is to remove all trade barriers between Malaysia and other countries to encourage more trade for mutual benefit.
He landed on 30th March. During his short visit to China he has secured a historic commitment of RM170 billion in investments from China. He expects President Xi Jinping will help to complete the High Speed Rail between KL and Singapore.
What is GDP?
GDP is the sum of gross value added by all resident producers in the economy plus any product taxes and minus any subsidies not included in the value of the products. It is calculated without making deductions for depreciation of fabricated assets or for depletion and degradation of natural resources.
The chart below shows that the average Malaysia annual GDP in the last 25 years is about 5%.
The chart below shows that it has been dropping from 12% in 1973 to the current level of 4.5%.
Anwar’s anti-corruption policy is progressing rapidly. As soon as Malaysian Unity Government was formed after the general election on 19 Nov 2022, one of most important declarations made by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim was his anti-corruption policy. It is progressing speedily. Former Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin was charged with corruption and money laundering, making him Malaysia’s second ex-leader to be indicted after leaving office.
Muhyiddin Yassin is the second former prime minister to be charged with corruption after ex-leader Najib Razak, who is currently serving a 12-year jail term for his role in a financial scandal at state investment.
PM Anwar’s performance has been very reassuring. If he continues to implement his policies, especially his anti-corruption policy, Malaysia’s annual GDP growth rate should improve rapidly.
Not so long ago, Malaysia was the largest tin, rubber and palm oil producer in the world. Moreover, Malaysia is the 16th biggest petroleum producer in the world. Yet, we could not be classified as a Developed Nation. Singapore, Taiwan and South Korea became Developed Nations. These countries do not even have timber to build their houses.
In 1970 when NEP was introduced, our GDP per capita was about the same as Singapore, Taiwan and South Korea. Currently, Singapore has a GDP per capita of US $ 66,176, Taiwan has a GPD per capita of US$33,011 and Malaysia has a GPD per capita of US $ 10,575. The biggest culprit is corruptions. If you Googled, you can see that Malaysia is one of the most corrupted country in the world.

Build a psychologically liberated and secure Malaysian society.
Foster a mature liberal, tolerant and democratic nation.
Establish a scientific, progressive and ethical society.
Ensure a fair distribution of the wealth of the country.
Build an economy that is competitive, dynamic and resilient.
Economic Road Map
Stamp out corruption
Leverage on the rise of China. China is one of our biggest trading partner. China buys most of our products especially palm oil.
Educational Road Map
Stop the education brain drain. Many Malaysian Chinese have been migrating to UK and Australia.
Guarantee that education is secular-based and not a political or religious football.
Entry to public funded Universities must be based on educational qualification and not based on race.
Practice transparency, fairness and integrity in all aspects of education.
Reject racial, religious and political agendas to ensure an inclusive and progressive schooling system.
Ensure every component of our national school system must be regarded as important in our multiracial society and must be provided fair and equal treatment.
Political Road Map
Civil Service reform. If you Googled “How many civil servants in Malaysia” you can see the following:
PUTRAJAYA: The number of civil servants as of March this year 2021 stands at a whopping 1.71 million, said Chief Secretary to the Government Datuk Seri Dr Ismail Bakar. For the core service sectors, he said, the armed forces comprised 152,957 personnel; police had 128,536; civil servants of various schemes (665,068); education (523,226) and health (240,745).
Malaysia has 1.7 million civil servants for our population of 36.5 million. That means we have 1 civil servant to every 20 citizens. Malaysia has the most civil servant per capita in the world. Moreover, almost all the civil servants are Malay. We should have a bit more non-Malays to create a competitive spirit and improve management efficiency.
Singapore has 87,000 civil servants for 6.1 million people. 1 civil servant for 70 citizen.
Thailand has 2 million civil servants for 69.9 million people. 1 civil servant for 35 citizen.
Malaysia has 1.7 million civil servants for 36.5 million people. 1 civil servant for 20 citizens.
Why should we have more soldiers than policemen? We are protected by ASEAN countries and United Nations. Moreover, our neighbor Singapore and Thailand are not going to invade Malaysia. To save cost we should have fewer soldiers.
Managing the country is similar to managing many kinds of business operations in every town and city. We must reduce overhead expenses in order to produce beneficial result and improve our economy.
About 3 years ago, when I wrote and posted my article about our civil service reform, Tan Sri Muhyiddin who was the Home Minister then sent a senior police officer from Police HQ, to investigate. I was grilled for 2.5 hours in Jalapang police station. I told the police officer that what wrote was true and if he arrested me, the bad publicity would be more damaging and shameful.
I hope all my readers will forward this article to the MPs in their districts so that they can discuss in Parliament to make Malaysia a Developed Nation.

If drastic reform is a problem then those who are responsible to deliver, are the problem.

It does not count if we have ton/ocean of knowledge. Instead it depends on whether there is any holiness in ourselves. A righteous man must have these 2 things i.e. fear and shame. Fear the LORD, the courts, the Police, parents, headmistress and discipline teacher. When some things of not pleasant have happened that could affect their reputation/image/corporate image, he/she will instantly feel the embarrassment and the faces will blush.
Their souls sense their the embarrassment and the fear of the retribution/punishment from above.
Why we like to kiss/hug the babies? Because their souls are still pure from the wombs. But when we traveled the journey of life, the impurities accumulated daily because the sins we committed non stop.

So for this Mr. KYY, Xingquan is unprecedented also? Since their Net Asset is the highest and share price is invisible?

Reducing civil servants will be political suicide for any government in Malaysia. Even the slightest hint of it, Muddin and PAS will go to town with this issue, they did that in the last PH government and twist it to anti Melayu sentiments.

What do you think of the Corporate Mafia accusations being viral around. MACC at the thick if the action. It is quite interesting and very damning on MACC. At a time when MACC has to keep their reputation stellar for the prosecution of high profile personalities to come.
Caely, MACC freezing and unfreezing bank accounts depending on which shareholders are in charge.
Revenue, MACC is filing charges against 2 founders for disposing of a motor vehicle without a directors’ resolution. 5 years ago!!!
GIIB, 2 directors are being charged for allegedly making fraudulent documents for the sale of idle machinery. Transactions which the statutory auditors had cleared in audits over 2 financial periods. And where a special forensic audit was carried out with the scope of the audit agreed to by Bursa and the forensic auditors had cleared yhe transactions which were the subject matter of the charge.
And many more accusations.
Question is why is the MACC involved in filing charges for these trivial matters when they have bigger CORRUPTION issues on their hands? I may be simplistic in thinking but I would think these are more appropriate for Bukit Aman Commercial Crime, Securities Commission (SC) or Bursa. But MACC??!!! But optics and bad narratives may derail PMX efforts to go hard on corruption when the very enforcement body for corruption matters are more preoccupied with trivial corporate matters narrated to come under their jurisdiction.
