KUALA LUMPUR: There was a slight difference during the Wanita Umno delegates' conference which kicked off this morning.

This follows the presence of two members of parliament from DAP, the party which was once Umno's political rival to Umno.

The two parties have entered a cooperation that led to the formation of the unity government after the 15th General Election in November last year.

DAP national publicity secretary Teo Nie Ching and Puchong MP Yeo Bee Yin were sitting in the front row during the delegates' conference which took place at Dewan Merdeka of the Kuala Lumpur World Trade Centre.

Apart from Teo and Yeo, also present were leaders from Barisan Nasional component parties.

Also in attendance were Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail and two of the party's supreme council members Datuk Seri Shamsul Anuar Nasarah and Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan.

Wanita Umno chief Datuk Seri Dr Noraini Ahmad in her speech announced that a total of 1,170 delegates attended the movement's delegates conference, which would end today.
