Pbb is competing with CIMB, MayBk, RHB and if they don't grow organically, all their profits and banking business will be eroded.
I don't think will invest in PBB, unless big market correction and for ST only...

Malaysia hard to grow for Banks because of SO MANY BANKS for a not so huge population.....
Pbb has to look to other ways to grow income. Pbb has to be aggressive in Vietnam, but in a controlled manner with checks and balances !!

This time if declare lod dividends sure sell down.
If declare reasonably good dividend, then ST looks ok. It's got to deliver high growth but msian operations will be pretty stagnant. Unless PBB work hard in Indo China countries to grow there. But Indo china countries, their politics is very volatile plus corporate governance issues there.
Let's see his this QTR results and dividend pans out....

5 years continuously losing. Soon or later close shops. No hope even with the white CEO. Too many top executives running the show with high pays and remunerations.

Troy8, also because of fact that PBB's no of shares has ballonned to 20bn shares. Dividends are spread over more shares. Before bonus less shares dividends seems very high. But with extra bonus shares, dividends are spread out on more shares. But growth may be slower now. PBB has to find more profitable areas and grow its Indo China franchise growth with strong profits..
