PNB and EPF seems disposing units to get us dividend..money still masuk our pocket kiri..
1 week ago
They are big investors and will receive tens of thousands of dividend payable on 27 Sept.
1 week ago
but I have short term fund available few days earlier than 27th.....so I DRP first if price is attractive :p
1 week ago
@linges.....EPF sold on 13, 14 & 15....they also sold PBB during those 3 days and sold CIMB on 14 & 15.....so it's difficult to read the moves by this institution....
.....I think they "move" to "create" price to collect or distribute for long term...
.....cannot follow them, as a value investor, just follow value....just my 2 sen.

Don't read epf movement..
They hv unlimited bullets..
Buy sell without thinking..
Buy and hold the method to beat them.
Look at the share price past 3 years..
You will see the logic behind
1 week ago
Agree..nowadays never bother on EPF trend/transactions.
They have many internal & outsourced fund manager team, with their own targets.
we won’t know which team buying & selling..
1 week ago
EPF sometimes sell to their outsourced fund managers. And to lock in gains to meet accounting standards to pay DV. So they are doing their part. When market bad in Msia they buy Msian stocks ..... make 10% sell and go global. Anyway this year EPF expected to pay 6% DV. So the more they sell the better DV we get.

oh. then better stick to what you r doing now. don't listen to what guru(s) said here. most of them brag only & some extremely arrogant.
shouting how good they are when they r making some profits but those stocks that make them losing their pants down, they keep twisting around.
don't trust any guru(s) here, some pass time, some half-barrel, some want students, some talk nonsense, some promote for own benefit and hardly any good one.
trust no one but yourself. suggest you to learn from youtube better.
last but not least make sure you buy maybank when price is low. this one you won't go wrong no matter how you buy it.

True..

If have free time, try to read ‘The Intelligent Investor’ book by Benjamin Grahams.
Once finishing reading, our mind will be very clear and less emotional on price movements.

Integrity. Intelligent. Industrious. 3iii (iiinvestsmart)$â¬Â£Â¥
I prefer the first edition. It is free from clutters and straight to the main points. Also, it is a smaller book and it was probably this book that Warren Buffett read before attending the class of Benjamin Graham in Columbia University.

My dad had bought “The Intelligent Investor” hardcover book by Benjamin Graham for rm118.38 in year 2005 and I’ve inherited it from him after he’d passed away a couple years ago.
The original 1949 edition is “By far the best book on investing ever written.” as quoted by Warren E. Buffett and has acclaimed to be the classic text on value investing.

While I’ve to admit I don't follow all the tenets of Value Investing because I do engaged in a little bit of extremely risky trading speculation up to 5% of my stock portfolio total funds just because I’m also an ardent advocator of technical analysis on stock price charts and patterns.

@Linges
Thank you for the book recommendation. I shall give it a read.
@smartly
thanks for your guidance. but I believe its not good to put all eggs in one basket and diversify

@BullOfWallSt
It’s widely known that ~85% of Berkshire Hathaway total investible funds are concentrated in 11 stocks and AAPL constitutes ~46%.
I’m just holding 2 US Nasdaq stocks for long term investments and 1 Bursa stock for trading speculation however will expand my stock portfolios to 7 when the opportunity arise.
